David Prutton returns with his Sky Bet EFL predictions ahead of the play-off semi-final first-leg fixtures, but who is he tipping for victory?

How to watch the play-offs on Sky Sports

The play-offs have arrived and you can watch every single game live on Sky Sports Football. Here is how...

Tranmere vs Forest Green, Friday 7.45pm

Both of these sides may have been feeling they could have found their way into the top three this season, but considering Tranmere are newly-promoted and Forest Green weren't too far off relegation a year ago, they have both had fantastic campaigns.

Tranmere are excellent at home, and Forest Green are exceptional away from home, so you feel like this could be a pivotal first leg - perhaps more than any other. I fancy Tranmere in the first leg, but it will be tight.

Prutton predicts: 2-1 (17/2 with Sky Bet)

Aston Villa vs West Brom, Saturday 12.30pm

I think we can safely say this is going to be a cracker! Both of these sides have known they are going to be in the play-offs for a while - in fact for West Brom it seems like they have been fourth for most of the season - and it also seemed fairly certain for a while that they would be facing each other, so they have had plenty of time to prepare.

Aston Villa are in the better form, despite dropping points in their tough two final games of the season. For both teams there is plenty of firepower in attack but I just think Dean Smith's side are the more complete team. I reckon they will win and give the Baggies a bit of a mountain to climb in the second leg.

Prutton predicts: 2-0 (8/1 with Sky Bet)

Derby vs Leeds, Saturday 5.15pm

In terms of drama this game should be right up there, even without taking into consideration what happened between these sides earlier in the season. More importantly for Derby, they have been given a footballing lesson by Marcelo Bielsa and Leeds twice, and you can only hope for the Rams' sake that Frank Lampard has learned from that.

Leeds, in form terms, are not playing well. They picked up just a point from their final four games and now they have to pick themselves up again quickly. This should be closer than the two league games were.

Prutton predicts: 1-1 (9/2 with Sky Bet)

Sunderland vs Portsmouth, Saturday 7.30pm

Until recently, both of these sides had their sights on finishing in the top two. At one point, Sunderland were in pole position to come second at least but their recent form has been poor.

It's not been too long since there were more than 80,000 watching these two at Wembley, while they also met in the league at the Stadium of Light to draw 1-1 last month. They will be more familiar with each other and the atmosphere over both legs will be incredible. Draw for me.

Prutton predicts: 1-1 (5/1 with Sky Bet)

Doncaster vs Charlton, Sunday 12.15pm

It's safe to say Doncaster are the major underdogs in the League One play-offs. They have been in and around the top six for a lot of the campaign, but in terms of points accrued you can see they are a little way off the others.

I worried for Charlton after they lost Karlan Grant in January, but Lyle Taylor has stepped up by himself in attack and they are undoubtedly the form team heading into the play-offs. Lee Bowyer has the experience of losing to Shrewsbury last season and they will fancy their chances this time.

Prutton predicts: 1-1 (9/2 with Sky Bet)
